I have a passion for working with and wanting to make a difference to the lives of Children and Young People. During my years at Leeds University I became aware of the charity 'Karma Nirvana' after reading the books "Shame" and "Daughters of Shame". I looked into what the charity was about and followed their work, it was here that I was directed to the fact that an increasing number of Children and Young People are affected by forced marriages and honour based abuse. After completing my degree I undertook the Honour Network Training with Karma Nirvana and completed this in August 2009. Since then I have been a call handler supporting victims and survivors on the Honour Network Helpline
